The
Leadville facility is a residence to house interns and researchers
interested in the mission and objectives of the Research and Future
Studies Center of the The Russian-American Chamber of Commerce®.
The
historic town of Leadville, Colorado lies 10,200 feet above sea
level in the gorgeous Rocky Mountain Range. Famous for its rich
history as a mining town, Leadville has become one of Colorado's
last remainig old-style mountain getaways. Located only an hour-and-a-half
from Denver, Leadville is a charming and relaxing escape from city
life.
Breathtaking
views of mountain scenery surround the city from all directions.
Summer activities include biking, hiking, golfing, fishing and camping,
as well as a wide range of other outdoor activities. Located in
close proximity to Ski Cooper, as well as the Copper Mountain Ski
Resort, provides a wide range of skiing options for any level skier.
Other winter
activities include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and show-shoeing.
Throughout the seasons, Leadville offers ample opportunities for
fun and excitement in the great Colorado outdoors.
The Leadville
facility is a large, converted Victorian home built in 1880 that
was formerly a stagecoach stop. It is two blocks from Leadville's
main street. This 3,000-plus-square-foot building is fully furnished
with five bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living
room, dining room, laundry room and much more.
